well, starbucks hit germany now too.. i was wondering why it took them so long but in the last 6 months we had 4 stores opening up in munich. they work like crazy as we germans love american products and yes i agree - starbucks is to blame for fals advertisement but in the end of the day it;s up to us.. we are lazy and if any product tells you "good for your health" or "lowfat" we don't even bother checking whats in it.. you are responsible for yourself!!!! we don't take time anymore to make up our own mind about health.. it seems that it's enough to see a picture of a skinny hollywood-glamour girl with a venti-frappucino and double whip cream to make us believe it's low in fat and healthy, not to forget about the fact that it's cool.. thanks to all the "starmagazines" by the way!!
ladies and gents - stop blaming others- care for and love yourself!!! :-)

You are right arieanna. According to Rachel Hartley of Nutracheck (an online calorie counter and personal food diary service) a typical coffee shop’s chocolate muffin and latte didn’t fare much better than a fast food outlet’s burger meal – which she describes as “a nasty shock”: http://www.newsquoter.com/ViewQuote.aspx?QuoteId=189

Starbucks, oh well it has that appeal. But it shows us what people in this world are drawn too. When you see something successfull, you go towards it. For us non-conformists its always an icthing temptation to walk in and grab that Starbucks coffee. I wish I could say that I never walk in to Starbucks but I do, And I dont really know why.

You can choose to bash the most successful coffee francise in the worlds mass producing espresso based drinks (Froth and Flavor) for $4 a drink or you can find the most amazing award winning coffees from roasters on the west and east coast like Tampa's Valrico Bros. Coffee Co. www.vbcoffee.com or Intelligentsia coffee Chicago http://www.intelligentsiacoffee.com/ or a west coast roaster like Stumptown Roaster in Portland Oregon http://www.stumptowncoffee.com/.
