Blenz takes over Seattle’s Best locations in Vancouver
Related entries in Vancouver coffeeVancouver-based Blenz Coffee has taken over four Vancouver Seattle’s Best Coffee locations – the stores have officially reopened as Blenz locations.
These 4 locations were operated by Whitefish Group, the franchisee of SBC in Canada.
This is an aggressive growth opportunity for Blenz, who competes with SBC in the local retail environment with similar product offerings. These are prime locations and help grow Blenz, which is now introducing more non-coffee beverages as it’s “thing.”
Blenz is less known for it’s drip coffee (probably a good thing), and more known for it’s blended drinks, iced beverages and other alternatives.

And thank the lord they did because one of those Seattle’s Best locations was in my office building. I had to pass it every morning on the way up to the elevator, caffeine-deprived but knowing that I couldn’t get my fix there. There was literally not ONE item on Seattle’s Best menu that I could tolerate.
I find it odd that the new Blenz locations are described as “prime locations,” though. They are in office buildings. They get heavy traffic from 7-9am and at lunch hour, and medium traffic when the afternoon slump hits around 2-3 pm. The rest of the day they’re pretty quiet. They’re not in heavily trafficked areas except for office staff.

Good for Blenz, although I don’t really fancy their coffee. I’d probably just go for the wi-fi and order a scone or whatever else they sell.

You can’t be serious… while Seattle’s Best is no Cafe Artigiano or Prado at least their espresso resembled the real thing. Blenz on the other hand is the absolute bottom rung on the coffee latter. Even *$’s surpasses their horrible offerings by far. Try a Blenz Americano, then ask your self – what the hell are they trying to pull? That is not coffee, that is a bloody embarrassment!
