starbucks have been doing toasted sandwiches in the uk for a few years now, so i’m surprised it’s taken this long to get them in canada …. if you ever get a chance, the cheese and marmite panini is delicious … haven’t tried the ones here yet, but what is turkey bacon?

I first noticed the sandwiches on Robson, then on Denman, then on Davie. Before I knew it they were everywhere! Everywhere I looked there were breakfast sandwiches! Tiny little clones of all the other sandwiches we’ve come to love and hate like the McGriddle, and the BaconBreakfastSandwich from Timmy-ho-hos. The only way to fight this new plight of grease was to eat my way out of the problem, so I swallowed my pride and decided to try one.
I was surprised to learn that the toasting process actually baked 4% cheese that otherwise would have clogged my arteries, but other than that it was surprisingly good.
Be sure to eat one before their numbers hit critical mass.

The shops here in Victoria have them and have been giving out lots of samples. I’ve had the low-fat turkey bacon sandwich and I really liked it plus thought it was a fair price (3.65?)
